SO many flavors! East Coast Wings & Grill

There are places that serve wings, and then there are wing places. East Coast Wings & Grill is a wing place! We visited for a media night, and were given the grand tour of their huge menu. The choices can be overwhelming at first, but we’ll do our best to point you in the right direction.

We started off the house cut homemade chips which were seasoned with their in house blend. You have 3 dips to choose from, but trust us and go with the beer cheese. Upgrade those chips from $4.99 is $6.59 to make them bottomless and share them with your group. The pub pretzels are are always a good second choice for sharing.

The wings portion of the menu has over 75 different wing sauces, and 9 different heat levels. We went through all 9 heat levels with the honey mustard flavor so we could get an idea of just how hot they could get. Rest assured that when you hit 7-9, you’re going to feel it! The heat goes up but the flavor of the wing is maintained until you hit level 8 or so, then the heat takes over. Some of the stand out flavors that I want to head back and try are Peppadew, Kick’n Thai, Kentucky Bourbon, Harvest Apple, and the Aspen. There are so many to choose from, I feel like they should have plaque for you when you’ve tried them all!

It’s not just about the wings though. We got to try two of their new burgers that should be on the menu in October. First was the Big Daddy Patty Melt, which is 2 half pound angus beef patties topped with crispy bacon, ghost pepper cheese, grilled onions, and their signature ranch dressing. Stack those between 2 giant grilled cheese sandwiches and you’ve got this over the top burger. You could seriously share this with 3-4 people. It’s hard not to like a well prepared burger, but there’s no way to eat this gracefully (hehe). We also tried the ECW Breakfast Club Burger. Taking breakfast burgers to a new level, the mad chefs decided to add a mini belgian waffle into the mix along with a side of maple sugar. Lots of bacon, a fried egg, tomato and crispy lettuce round out this otherwise AM treat.

A couple of other standouts were the Sweet & Sour Shrimp Tacos, which are on the lighter side of things and taste great. The Treuben is the other one that I wish I had the capacity to try. It takes your traditional Rueben and adds their signature slaw and 2 sauces. I’m going to get this one next time!

As if everything above wasn’t enough, some of the gang decided to band together and try the Insanity Wing Challenge! This single wing is served with a tall glass of milk and a pair of latex gloves. Before you get started though, you’ll need to sign a liability waiver. They take this wing challenge very seriously, and about 30 seconds after my first bite, I can see why. This is the hottest thing I’ve ever eaten, to the point I was shaking. It’s a constant heat, and it doesn’t relent despite trying to douse it with milk and whatever else is available on the table. I couldn’t tell what I looked like while i was eating it, but the other 3 that joined me in the challenge were all sweating, red eyed, and in pain. Despite all this, I would do it again if someone laid down the gauntlet! Bucket list food item checked off the list!

East Coast Wings & Grill has a tasty selection of classic american fare, with your traditional mix of apps, salads, wings, burgers, and entrees. Prices are very reasonable, and the portions are generous. There is a full liquor bar, with some tasty cocktails and solid beer selection. Basically, ECW&G is a great spot to catch a game, hang with friends, and chow down on a crazy variety of fantastic wings!

Make sure you roll through on Mondays from 6-9pm for all you can eat wings @ $12.99. This is a great way to try more of the flavors they have to offer! Trivia hosted by Trivia Nation kicks off Tuesday at 7pm, and Wednesdays from 3:30-close, kids eat free with a paying adult. This applies to both locations, and should apply to their 3rd location, which is coming soon.
